The Sr. Payroll Analyst at Learning Care Group will accurately process company payroll on a weekly basis and ensure the completion of various reports, payments, and filing to Federal, State, and Local jurisdictions. Job Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities: Responsible for processing company payroll on a weekly basis for field and corporate employees. Accountable for payroll balancing and system integrity. Review and analyze balancing procedures to ensure accuracy of payroll data. Ensure all internal accounting policies are adhered to by the payroll staff. Partner with Accounting to maintain costing tables for elements, ensure that payroll is accurately posted to the general ledger and assist with any reconciliation issues/questions. Accurately post Payroll data in a timely fashion to meet filing requirements of the various governmental agencies (i.e., quarterly returns, W-2 data, garnishment processing, reconciling payroll accounts). Plan and implement year-end procedures (coordinate the changeover to the new year's payroll, entering tax table updates and changes, and closing the calendar year). Maintain Policies and Procedures. Initiate and promote continual process improvements within the payroll department. Develop and maintain policies and procedures around the entire payroll process from timekeeping to payment of payroll and taxes. Where applicable, the policies must ensure there are appropriate controls around the processes that would satisfy internal audits under SOX standards. Collaborate with Accounting and Internal Audit with the development and improvement of internal controls as well as documentation and testing of controls. Track changes in the industry and interpret for employees and management staff the policies and government regulations as they relate to the payroll function. Ensure other departments and external auditors are informed of the changes. Participate in systems upgrades and implementations as required. Minimum Job Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Management, or other applicable discipline. Minimum 5 of payroll processing experience. Proficient in payroll systems Oracle HCM Cloud, Workday or Dayforce. Prior experience in dealing with high employee volume (20,000+ employees). Prior payroll reconciliation experience. Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications: Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. Must have knowledge and understanding of all current state and local regulations. Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines Proficient in ADP SmartCompliance Employment Tax and Wage Garnishments. Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations pertaining to Payroll processing. Effective oral and written communication skills. Skill in handling conflict and employee complaints. Highly skilled in data analysis and problem solving. Excellent time management, planning, organization skills, and meeting deadlines. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
