Function: Provides administrative support to the Director and other faculty as necessary at a local private, non-profit school (K-8). Administrative Responsibilities: · Provide administrative support to Director (correspondence, travel arrangements, contract administration, admission packages, and transcript requests) · Procurement: Finalize details of orders and deliveries; manage and order office and school supplies as needed. · Compile all documents for bi-yearly parent conferences to include student testing, report cards, and other documents as needed. · Draft documents including school directory, staff directory, yearbook, and employee handbook. · Act as liaison between Director and school families, organizations and school staff. · Greet visitors entering the building and direct them to the appropriate destination. Answer phone and take clear messages. Return calls as needed. · Assist in management of school calendar to include field trips, staff training, and special events. · Manage multiple ad hoc project assignments given by Director. · Assist director in the everyday running of the school, including cleaning and organizing. Human Resource Responsibilities: · Onboard new employees including conducting reference checks, background screening, file creation, and benefits. Maintain and process confidential and sensitive information with the highest level of ethics. · Assist director in coordinating staff training sessions, workshops, and activities. · Review employment forms for completeness and accuracy. Communicate with employees regarding personnel actions and requests. Required Skills: Bachelor's degree Excellent oral and written communications skills Proven organization, accuracy and attention to detail Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft publisher a plus) Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to a constantly changing environment Enjoy a school environment surrounded by students each day Positive and friendly attitude Salary range is competitive for local administrative positions. Hours are 7:30-3:30pm M-F during the school year, and during the 7 week summer school (July-August). The School follows FCPS' calendar for holidays.
