The Merchandising and Education Manager is responsible for providing education and merchandising support within their territory while increasing the visibility and profile of the Matouk brand. The Merchandising and Education Manager acts as a critical liaison between Matouk and its retail partners in order to maximize retail sales and increase brand awareness across all brand categories. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Visit key stores as directed within the designated territory ensuring that visit requirements are met. The focus for this position is on Bloomingdale's stores, though occasional independent store visits may be -required. Manage new and existing part time merchandisers / representatives to support the growing business. Plan seasonal visits schedule for all regions. Manage calendar and secure meetings to support the store visit plan. Provide store reports, "before and after" photos, stock needs, signage needs, competitive landscape feedback and product feedback on a regular basis. Communicate all to VP Sales and Bloomingdales buying teams. Conduct regular in-store seminars within territory to ensure product knowledge and motivation for store personnel. Act as support for Bloomingdales' Special Order Business within stores. Fill in/locate stock and merchandise all fixtures per Matouk standards. Responsible for achieving monthly sales targets for assigned stores. Review sales data weekly to determine store performance. Negotiate/secure key floor placement, signage and visual enhancements. Merchandise all Matouk products to ensure optimum presentation on sales floor. Maintain visual standards as set by Store and Matouk Creative Services team. Communicate important findings to Matouk Creative Services team. Develop positive working relationships with store personnel including sales, specialists, store management. Monitor returns to vendor where appropriate. Provide monthly schedule and weekly updates to VP of Global Sales. Assist with Shop Installations as needed. Provide trade show support as needed. Qualification Requirements: Minimum of 5 years of merchandising and training experience in the retail luxury environment, with experience in luxury home strongly preferred. Experience merchandising in a Department Store environment strongly preferred. Dynamic presentation skills and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written. Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty to the brand and that deliver measurable results. Ability to analyze selling reports, identify business trends and react quickly to the needs of the business. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to visit local stores (NY/NJ/CT) approximately 40% of the time. The ability to travel to other states for store visits as necessary (up to 25%.) Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekdays, evenings and weekends as needed. Must maintain a valid driver's license.
