Description:Peterson's is a Denver-based educational publisher looking for a Government Accounts Manager to lead this channel for the company. We are a 50-year-old company that provides test prep and education resources across digital and print.We also provide test prep to military service members and their families looking to advance in their careers. We see our work with government agencies as a vital and meaningful part of our overall mission: to help people prepare to succeed through education. We're looking for someone who shares our passion to join a team of ~50 people based in Highlands Ranch, Colorado
Your job would be to:Manage about 10 key accounts at the federal, state and local levelKnow Peterson's test prep offerings inside and outCoordinate/review/recommend pricing for bids, RFPs, RFQs, sales proposals, and contract submittals for opportunities within assigned accountsManage the fulfillment of awarded contracts per contract deadlines by coordinating lead times and product specifications with internal stakeholdersProvide reporting and support to clients on an ongoing basisAnswer questions about the prices, availability, and uses of our test prep products Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, and attending trade shows and conferences to increase sales of Peterson's productsContact new and existing customers to discuss their needs and explain how specific products and services can meet these needs
Requirements:3+ years of experience working with government / strategic clients. 3+ years in Excellent written/verbal communication/presentation skills, and strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, with the ability to plan, pitch, and execute a territory sales strategy Ability to travel frequently. Government contracting knowledge (Federal, State, Local, and Education) is advantageous but not required. Strong interpersonal, telephone and written communication skills. Four-year college degree or equivalent experience. Working knowledge of technologyExperience in education is a massive plus
Work onsite in Highlands Ranch, CO. No remote candidates.
