General Information

Willamette Education Service District is accepting applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) School Psychologist position with the Special Education Department. The position will provide services to students within McMinnville School District. The selected candidate will follow a 190-day calendar and will begin on August 23, 2019.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Completes evaluations for special education in the following areas: DD, OHI, TBI and ED/LD/ID/ASD
  • Provides consultation to school district pre-referral teams
  • Suggests intervention strategies with a preventative focus, including documentation
  • Completes Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and develops behavior intervention plans for identified students
  • Works cooperatively with school staff and parents to develop, implement and track Individualized Education Programs (IEP's) to meet student learning and self-sufficiency needs
  • Plans and implements service delivery models including individual, small group and classroom settings and schedules in assigned schools and programs
  • Provides consultation services and/or in-services to ESD staff, district staff, administrators and parents regarding learning, self-sufficiency, behavioral and other student needs
  • Prepares organizes and maintains confidential files and student records in accordance with ESD, state and federal policies and guidelines
  • Maintains open communication to keep districts informed of the activities and services of the program
  • Assists districts and the ESD in district-wide or countywide special projects (e.g., Flight Team) and/or committee work (e.g. SLP/LSP Review)
  • Coordinates and cooperates with outside agencies to provide services to students with self-sufficiency, behavioral, and other student needs
  • Works cooperatively and collaboratively as a team member using good interpersonal relationship and communication skills
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree
  • Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices Teaching (TSPC) License with Handicapped Learner or Special Education endorsement; or,
  • Oregon Teacher Standards and Practices School (TSPC) Psychologist License; or,
  • School Counselor license issued by State Board of Psychological Examiners or,
  • Psychologist licensed by State board of Psychological Examiners
  • Reliable transportation for itinerant responsibilities
  • Nationwide criminal history check and fingerprinting at employee's expense are required

Salary and Benefits*

  • This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) licensed position represented by the Willamette Valley Education Association.
  • Placement on the Willamette ESD licensed salary schedule, $45,454 - $76,068, will be commensurate with applicant's qualifications, relevant training, experience and prorated according to start date. Salary and benefits shown are based upon full-time employment (1.0 FTE) for the entire school year contract period.
  • Willamette ESD will support payment for health, dental and vision insurance premiums for qualified employees. Employer-paid PERS, holidays, sick leave, and personal days are also provided to qualified employees.
