We are looking for a mission-driven and business-oriented individual who excels at working with clients in diverse organizations.
The school finance analyst program is a 2-4 year, structured program offering extensive training and mentoring, designed to develop future finance specialists. We take a long-term view on our finance analysts and their careers, providing growth opportunities for the exceptional performers. This position is ideal for an individual looking to apply business, analytical, and finance/accounting skills to the social sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Support all necessary back-office financial/accounting aspects of a portfolio of schools, including accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, grants administration, and financial compliance.
Collaborate with EdOps finance specialists to maintain accounting books/schedules and produce monthly financial statements and accompanying board presentations.
Assist in audit preparation, annual 1099 issuance and other ad-hoc reports.
Liaise with school staff.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university. Applicants with significant related work experience but without a Bachelor’s degree will also be considered.
Previous work experience in a related field (finance, accounting, or K-12 education) is appreciated but not required.
Previous work experience in bookkeeping, accounts payable, grants management, or payroll is not necessary, but helpful.
Commitment to education and knowledge of charter schools is a major plus.
Start date is flexible.
