The Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing various confidential clerical and administrative support to the COVID Coordinator and COVID Technicians. This position reports directly to the COVID Coordinator. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
?Responsible for performing the secretarial/administrative duties and serves as a primary resource to the COVID Coordinator and COVID Technicians.
?Responsible for supporting case investigations and contract tracing of identified individuals who have been diagnosed with the COVID-19 virus
?As directed by the COVID Coordinator, assist in the documentation of positive case trends within the school department.
?Responsible for assisting the COVID Technicians in the data entry into the RIDOH antigen reporting portals.
?Responsible for maintaining a confidential filing system for the school department's testing program.
?Ability to perform other duties assigned in order to meet the specific needs of the Pawtucket School Department and its studentsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
?Ability to maintain confidentiality
?Must have the ability to plan and organize with an emphasis to detail, consistency, and accuracy
?Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
?Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public
?Skilled in the preparation and maintenance of accurate records and reports
?Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; ability to prepare and maintain accurate records and reportsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
?High School Diploma or equivalent
?Three to Five years experience in a clerical/secretarial/administrative assistant role
?Proficiency in working with computers; working knowledge of Google and/or Microsoft products
?Valid Driver's licensePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
?Previous experience in contact tracing PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
?Frequently required to stand, sit and walk
?Frequently required to talk and hear
?Occasional lifting or carrying weighing up to 25 pounds
