About KIPP Bay Area Public Schools
KIPP is a non-profit network of 224 college-preparatory, public charter schools across the country educating early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school students. There are currently 15 KIPP schools across the Bay Area educating nearly 6,000 students in East Palo Alto, Oakland, San Francisco, San Lorenzo, San Jose, and Redwood City and supporting over 3,000 alumni around the country.
SCOPE OF THE WORK:
We are seeking to hire a part-time family engagement manager to support the launch of KIPP in Stockton. This person will be an extension of our team and will be charged with promoting KIPP, supporting student enrollment and maintaining effective communication between KIPP and student’s families. This is a 12-month role available immediately. The scope of the work is broad and dynamic and we expect this person to work closely with KIPP’s regional team.
KEY AREAS OF WORK & EXPECTED OUTCOMES & ACTIVITIES
Reporting to KIPP Bay Area’s Director of Growth, the Family Engagement Manager will lead the following activities and take responsibility for the following outcomes:
1. Build a strong base of families and demand for KIPP in South Stockton
2. Connect with community-based organizations to help KIPP understand the community and support student enrollment
3. Develop a strong working relationship with the KIPP Team and keep them informed about the family engagement work and key insights
