Job Description

What will you do all day?

At NMSI, our people mean everything to us, they are the lifeblood of the organization. Without our staff, NMSI is just an idea. As a member of the IT Team, the Senior Application Developer will play a critical role in supporting designing and implementing technology to expand the delivery capabilities of NMSI.

This a regular, full-time position based out of our Dallas office.

What are the details?

  • Working within project teams to determine needs and applying/customizing existing technology to meet those needs
  • Maintaining and supporting multiple projects and deadlines
  • Participate in system design and architecture 
  • Provide system support and troubleshooting
  • Perform business data analysis, extracts, imports and reporting
  • Adhere to production system change control processes (code and documentation)
  • Analyze/evaluate third-party systems/modules for use in NMSI systems
  • Provide consultation on complex projects as required
  • Record work progress on a weekly basis 
  • Meet NMSI documentation standards and best practices
  • Other duties as assigned 

What are we looking for?

  • Education & Experience – BS in technology preferred or equivalent work experience. Minimum of 6 years in frontend software design in, at least 4 of the following: JavaScript, JQuery, HTML5, CSS3, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Jquery, Angular, and Bootstrap. Experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including ASP.NET, ADO.NET. Experience with frontend UI design preferred. DNN (DotNetNuke) or Kentico experience a plus.

  • Communicator – You can effectively communicate complex technology concepts in laymen’s terms with the ability to construct user guides and You have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Technical Expertise – You have an ability to complete all phases of the software development life cycle, including analysis, design, functionality, testing and support – and develop web applications. You can maintain style sheets and JavaScript files across websites. You possess current product/technology/industry knowledge.
