Library/Media Specialist
Applicant must hold a Master's in Library Science from an accredited college or university. The applicant shall hold a valid North Carolina teaching license or be eligible to hold a North Carolina teaching license as a Library/Media Specialist.
We seek an experienced, energetic professional library/media specialist to serve our elementary library/media program. The Library / Media Specialist coordinates the use of the Library Media Center which includes the use of all informational resources such as books, periodicals, computers and computer ancillaries. The Library / Media Specialist designs an educational program to enhance and support the school curriculum. The successful candidate will supervise and provide library/media services and instruction for grades K-6. Supervise, train and guide library service personnel; budget and plan library/media collections, which are standards-based; select and maintain collections of learning resources in a variety of formats. Strong skills in materials selection, organization, information literacy and technology, and outstanding teaching skills are required.
