Job Description

The Lynn Public Schools has an opening for a TEAMS K-2 Special Education Teacher at Lynn Vocational Technical Institute for the 2020-2021 school year.

Methodology: a small, highly structured setting which allows for individualized and small group instruction. A modified curriculum to support accessibility to Massachusetts Common Core using an approach that focuses on daily living and safety skills, increased independence, and health awareness to support educational success. The expectation is the student will be instructed in and exposed to grade level content at a level appropriate to their ability. Please refer to DESE's Resource Guide to the Mass Curriculum Frameworks (Fall 2014) to view samples of appropriate instructional lessons and activities.

Job Requirements:
  • Must hold the Massachusetts license in Moderate Disabilities PreK-8
  • At least one year of relevant experience preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree
