As a Children's 1:1 Counselor you will plan and provide direct services to one client, which includes developing and delivering instruction, supports, and positive role modeling in the areas of life skills, community utilization, healthcare, and social and recreational activities. In addition, the counselor provides vocational training, which includes seeking vocational opportunities and enhancing supports for work for that individual. Reporting directly to the Residential Supervisor, the counselor has direct, active, and constructive interaction with clients and must maintain active cooperation with co-workers, clinical staff, medical staff, ancillary staff, community members, families, and supervisors. You must also have the ability to handle children in crisis safely, with compassion. Currently looking to fill the following shifts at our Brewster Campus: 28 hours: Sat 8a-10p, Sun 8a-10p 40 hours: Mon - Fri 7a-3p

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field or equivalent experience Must have the ability to handle children/ individuals in crisis safely, with compassion A valid driver's license with a clean driving record Fluent English speaking and writing skills Empathy and the ability to listen Good time management skills Professional appearance and demeanor
