Must have completed Red cross lifeguard/CPR courses
Skilled in verbal communication with both children and adults.
Have enough mobility to enter the pool from a stand and rescue a person that weighs up to 400 pounds REPORTS TO:
Aquatic Center Coordinator TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Months (Schol Year) plus Summer ESY additional weeksESSSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Ensure that all safety rules and protocol are followed by swimmers.
Effectively scan the pool to monitor swimmer safety.
Develop positive relationships with both students and parents.
Provide a safe swimming environment for all the individuals that use the aquatic center.
Monitor and maintain proper chemical levels in the pool.
Clean the facility on a daily basis as trained and directed. OTHER PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work collaboratively with other staff members and management
Follow directions from the aquatic directors
Abide by Red Cross life guarding principles and ideals
