A Long-Term Substitute is defined as a substitute for an assignment lasting more than 15 consecutive days for one teacher.
The Long-Term Substitute rate only applies to substitutes holding a minimum of a bachelor's degree.Steps to Become a Long-Term Substitute Teacher:
Complete an Online Employment Application
and attach supporting documentation (copy of transcript, degree, teaching certificate, etc.). Minimum of Bachelor's degree required.
Contact by school administration regarding position.Completion of fingerprinting/background check and I-9. To complete an I-9 and to schedule a fingerprinting appointment, visit: Background Check
