HVAC/BAS Office Technician III

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Proof of high school graduation or GED required.

2. Must have a clear and valid Texas Driver's License and acceptable driving record as determined by the Texas School Bus Driver's requirements.

3. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of HVAC/BAS experience.

4. Knowledge of HVAC skills as well as building trades and skills.

5. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

6. Must have substantial office organizational skills.

7. Must have good knowledge of blueprints and test and air balance reports.

8. Must have general experience with HVAC building automated/energy management systems.

9. Must have general knowledge of Automated Logic, Trane Tracer ES and Reliable Controls.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

260 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$24.99/HV9

Salary (based on verifiable job-related experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year 2019-2020

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Perform work in a thorough and neat manner in accordance with industry and CFISD standards.

2. Perform checking and monitoring of all automated facilities and logging deficiencies.

3. Responsible for HVAC call center daily operations, including answering phones, receiving messages, and assigning work orders based on building technician assignments.

4. Receives written customer work order requests.

5. Perform preventive maintenance on multiple BAS systems and equipment.

6. Perform other duties as assigned.

7. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.

HVAC/BAS Office Technician II

3. Must have a minimum of four (4) years of HVAC/BAS experience.

6. Must have substantial office organizational skills.

7. Must have good knowledge of blueprints and test and air balance reports.

8. Must have general experience with HVAC building automated/energy management systems.

9. Must have considerable knowledge of Automated Logic, Trane Tracer ES and Reliable Controls.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:

260 days

SALARY/PAYGRADE:

$27.10/HV10

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:

Able to work various shift work 6:00 am to 2:30 pm or 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:00 am to 4:30 pm as well as emergency and scheduled overtime as required. Able to lift and carry 40 pounds. Be available to work different schedules or shifts to accomplish tasks. Be available for after hour demands, if required. Maintain emotional control under stress. Ability to work alone. Ability to keep information confidential. Work well with others. Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals. Prolonged sitting; frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Repetitive hand motions, frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; Lifting and carrying (up to 40 pounds). maintain emotional control under stress.
