Job Description

Our growing organization is a group of unique private schools providing one teacher-to-one student instruction for 6th-12th-grade students. The personalization and flexibility of our offering attract students dissatisfied with or unsuccessful in the traditional public school model and maximizes the student’s academic potential. Students who have successfully graduated from our program have been prepared for college and meaningful careers for more than two decades. Currently, we offer academic programs in five states.

We are actively seeking an established, innovative, and inspiring leader who displays developed problem-solving and business management expertise for our new markets. As well, a demonstrated history of enrollment growth. The right candidate exhibits a dedicated passion for serving students, families, and teachers.

Enrollment Commitment:

  • possess the energic drive and determination needed to grow enrollment in a new market space
  • builds and fosters relationships with families during inquiries and tours
  • implements a “white glove” campus tour and open house strategy
  • practices effective follow up strategies that lead to conversion
  • builds and fosters partnerships with local educational institutions
  • generates enrollment retention and referrals by upholding academic and cultural integrity

Academic Commitment:

  • communicates staff and student performance expectations, develops specific ongoing goals and objectives resulting in higher performance outcomes
  • sets clear and concise standards for the teaching staff and students to ensure a unified culture and spirit
  • appropriately manages all student academic, social and behavior issues in alignment with Brightmont policies and values
  • oversees student summative assessments, including reading comprehension, mathematics and writing benchmarks for each enrolled student
  • collaborates with the Curriculum Department to meet students’ learning needs
  • collaborates with the Talent Management Department to maintain healthy staffing balances and the employee life cycle
  • collaborate with the Registrar Department to meet students’ graduation goals
  • protects students and teacher’s privacy of confidential and financial information
  • regularly observes and effectively evaluates teaching and administrative staff
  • addresses teaching performance issues swiftly and fairly, as well, documents conflict resolution with talent department
  • maintains and upholds good standing with all of Brightmont accreditation and class approvals including, but not limited, to the Cognia, NCAA, College Board, and Private Schools Associations

Operation Commitment:

  • implements strategic plans to increase campus growth
  • interviews and hires a teaching team that results in academic success
  • applies expertise and creativity to complex problems to ensure smooth day-to-day campus function
  • maintains strong teacher retention as a result of a healthy work environment
  • exhibits consistent leadership that embraces a passion for our mission and demonstrates accountability for their assigned campus(es)
  • is energized by meeting or exceeding quantitative results
  • balances campus margin efficiency in a way that still provides effective, best practice student service
  • manages documents and data effectively and timely with the accounting, finance, registrar, operations and talent resources departments
  • manages enrollment course counts, daily attendance and reports on campus-specific metrics to central offices
  • balances and maintains a class schedule for all teachers and students weekly and monthly
  • other commitments may apply

Preferred candidates will have:

  • experience with alternative or non-traditional education systems
  • experience dealing directly with parents for enrollment, intake, and ongoing relationship through students’ programs
  • experience with, and a passion for, delivering standards-based education to students with learning differences, including social and emotional differences
  • personal or professional identity to middle and high school students who struggle and could benefit from a customized academic program
  • personal integrity and value system to be accountable, achieve targets and meet deadlines

Required Qualifications:

  • bachelor’s in Education, Business, or Counseling
  • preferred master’s with Special Education or Teaching Certification
  • 3 years of Administrative School Leadership
  • 3 years of Sales, Marketing, or Admissions
  • experience in building a for-profit business
  • skilled in establishing and maintaining relationships with families
  • skilled in providing successful student academic solutions
  • experience in using data to drive decisions

Physical presence on the campus and/or corporate office is required as it is part of the essential function of the job. The particular job duties of this position may change based upon the needs of Brightmont Academy. Additional administrative duties may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.
