MISSION: The Texas Education Agency (TEA) will improve outcomes for all public-school students in the state by providing leadership, guidance, and support to school systems.
POSITION OVERVIEW: The Manager of Local Designation System Implementation will play a critical role in providing a pathway for outstanding Texas teachers to earn six-figure salaries and support the implementation of House Bill 3’s Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA). The Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership at the district level to weigh options and make informed decisions as districts seek local designation system approval. Additionally, this individual will play an important leadership role in the management and execution of TEA technical assistance, resource creation, and support to districts, ESCs, and technical assistance providers through three key processes: Local Designation System development and application, TIA Annual Program Submission, and the new Local Designation System Renewal process. This role will also manage the partnership with Texas Tech University, which supports TIA with the Data Validation, stakeholder surveys, and other research needs.
This position reports to the Director of Strategic Compensation.

Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: At least five (5) years of experience in managing people and multi-input processes.
Substitutions: An advanced degree may substitute for two years of required experience.
