POSITION OVERVIEW: The Texas Education Agency is hiring for a TCAPPS System Support Analyst. This individual provides TEA CAPPS (TCAPPS) financial system supports to the agency financial users, including user training, system trouble shooting, system process monitoring as well as leading the system upgrades and other system related tasks. In addition, the position will perform accounting work that requires careful review of contract invoices before payment vouchers are entered to the agency accounting system (TCAPPS). This individual will play a critical role ensuring that the accounts payable team meets its performance goals and supports the agency in fulfilling its strategic priorities by meeting deadlines and maintaining a high standard of accuracy. The analyst must have a passion for outstanding customer service to respond to the needs and expectations of a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders. The analyst is expected to contribute his or her knowledge, independent judgment, initiative, and expertise to build on the team's objective of continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university.
Experience: At least four (4) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting and working with financial system operations. Experience with developing queries and with CAPPS or PeopleSoft accounting system is preferred.
Substitutions: Each additional year of related experience above the required minimum may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis
