Job Description

Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide digital literacy and technology services to students who exhibit a variety of emotional, behavioral, neurological and learning disabilities that impede their ability to function within a less restrictive classroom setting. Responsible for planning and implementation of the MA Digital Literacy and Computer Science Frameworks; learning and executing functions in the admin role in Google Admin and Go Guardian; and developing and supporting teachers with a range of technology applications and programs. This position is part-time (4 days per week).

-Utilize MA Digital Literacy and Computer Science Curriculum Frameworks to develop lessons and guide instruction appropriate to student grade, skill level and learning style;
-Responsible for developing small group unit plans that include but are not limited to: formal and informal educational assessment, a variety of teaching techniques, and the planning and implementation of differentiated instruction;
-Communicate with each classroom team to learn class and individual behavior management plans and implement them effectively;
-Foster positive self-esteem and social growth of students through appropriate curriculum and behavioral structure;
-Develop and present professional development workshops about a variety of educational technology applications and tools for the Manville teaching staff.
-Provide ongoing support of educational applications and tools to the Manville teaching staff;
-Meet weekly with supervisor to discuss educational, behavioral, and technological issues according to Manville procedures;

-BA or M.Ed. in Special Education, MA certification in Moderate Special Needs or Instructional Technology;
-Working knowledge of MA Digital Literacy Curriculum Frameworks;
-Minimum of one-year experience teaching in a school setting with a similar student population;
-Foundational skills in educational technology tools (e.g., Read&Write, Smart Notebook, etc.);
-Ability to work effectively with students who present with significant emotional, behavioral, neurological and learning difficulties
