Music Teacher - Summer SPED ESY Program

•Appropriate MA DESE Licensure


Job Tasks will include:
  • Provide adapted music education services to students with intellectual disabilities, autism, orthopedic impairments, or other disabling conditions.
  • Adapt instructional techniques to the age and skill levels of students.
  • Modify teaching methods or materials to accommodate student needs.
  • Provide students positive feedback to encourage them and help them develop an appreciation for art education.
  • Encourage students.
  • Establish and maintain standards of behavior to create safe, orderly, and effective environments for learning.

Experience working with one or more of the following populations:
  • Students with ASD
  • Students with multiple disabilities
  • Students with emotional impairments
  • Students with cognitive impairments
  • Students with multiple disabilities

Terms of Employment:
Seasonal/Yearly Employment
Location: District Wide
Stipend: $40 per hour worked
Mandatory Orientation and Professional Development Days: Week of June 27

Tentative Program Schedule and subject to change:
July 6, 2022 - August 9, 2022
Monday thru Friday
7:45 - 2:30pm, 5 days per week, Monday-Friday

Reports to: Director of SPED Extended School Year (ESY), OST Director, and Director of Summer Programs
