Job Description

St. Vincent's Catholic School, in Keokuk, Iowa, seeks an enthusiastic part-time music teacher for our Kindergarten-5th grade students. The ideal candidate will: Foster an environment for music appreciation; have strong classroom management (and social-emotional learning) skills; develop a program where students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned music experiences which include singing, moving to music, playing of instruments and singing at school Masses. Additionally, applicants should have an appropriate Iowa Teaching license, strong organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Keokuk Catholic Schools serves approximately 90 students in preschool through grade five, with 18 staff members. KCS is the only state-accredited, faith-based educational setting in Keokuk, IA. We have proudly served our community for nearly 170 years, providing a high-quality education to Catholic and non-Catholic families.

Along with a regular teacher/staff contract, we also offer additional stipends based on other building-level support. The Keokuk School Board has set a student-to-teacher ratio of 15-1 to maximize student learning. We strive to provide high-quality moral values, superior education, and a life-long commitment to community service.
