The Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership aims to ensure more Tarrant County students obtain a postsecondary credential and that each student has the training and skills they need to thrive in today’s workforce. In Tarrant County, 39% of adults possess an associate degree or higher, however, 65% of jobs in the modern economy require some sort of post-secondary education. The T3 team and partners are dedicated to providing resources, financial support and programmatic opportunities for students and their families so they are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and credentials for a career in today’s economy. The Tarrant To & Through Partnership is seeking a Director of Technology & Data to build and deepen T3’s technology stack supporting the team in making informed decisions about students’ futures. The Director of Technology & Data will lead, manage, and support the design and implementation of information technology systems to track high school students’ progress to and through post-secondary pathways. The position will coordinate and work through the technical implementation of technology platforms with multiple stakeholders including Tarrant County school districts, two and four-year universities, and other community stakeholders. T3’s underlying technology platforms have case management capabilities, messaging/communication functionality, data transfer with existing education systems, and end user-interface. This position reports to the MD of Operations & HR and will play a key role in ensuring that T3 realizes its vision of increasing post-secondary enrollment and completion.


• Strategy & Planning
o Collaborate with all departments and stakeholders to achieve program goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing IT and data initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization
o Serve as hub for data from varied stakeholder student information systems to ensure alignment and seamless student tracking across institutions
o Define technology and operational strategies in the short- and long-term including product investments
o Design and develop scalable and innovative technology solutions and products to support T3’s objectives
o Assess and communicate risks associated with IT investments and the integrity of data networks, resources, and systems
o Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending
o Develop and execute enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan
o Assess and make improvements or re-engineering of all IT systems and data systems
o Document and update all processes and workflows

• Information Systems and Data Management
o Lead and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations and re-defining existing ones.
o Regularly assess, update, streamline and monitor all information systems across T3’s technology stack to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness
o Lead and oversee the design and implementation of the technology stack and its uses across the organization, including review and maintenance of all core systems and data collection processes
o Collaborate with stakeholders to advise in the creation of data retention and records management policies and ensure IT systems support those requirements.
o Define system data requirements and modify systems accordingly to support the addition, edit, and deletion of data as needed
o Establish processes for ETL (Extracting, Transforming, and Loading) data from various sources and formats into Salesforce or other systems using manual processes or T3’s enterprise ETL integration platform
o Ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, and accessibility as well as student privacy and data security

• Operational Management
o Ensure continuous delivery of IT services through oversight of data sharing agreements with T3’s district and higher-ed partners

o Ensure IT and data system operations adhere to all applicable laws and regulations, especially FERPA. Maintain and works towards keeping T3 FERPA certified through iKeepSafe
o Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies.Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact
o Present case management system and technology solutions to internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, for successful adoption and utilization
o Ensure employees have all hardware and software necessary to fulfill their responsibilities and are satisfied with IT support.
o Provide ongoing operational and technical support to the team including investing in team members for their development; manage and coach the Systems Analyst position
o Manage IT budget, review financial performance for IT accounts, and work Operations team to ensure judicious spending and cost allocation
o Manage relationships with IT vendors; serve as point of contact for IT related purchases and ensure timely payment of all IT related expenses


• Master’s degree in relevant field is highly preferred
• Candidates with a bachelor’s degree in relevant field and additional years of relevant experience are encouraged to apply

• 6+ years of professional experience, including 3+ years of experience working in K-12, higher education, or nonprofits
• Extensive Salesforce Education Data Architecture (EDA), platform, and community design and development
• Experience managing at least 1-2 direct reports

Preferred Qualifications
• Salesforce Certified Administrator
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Practitioner
• Enterprise ETL platform experience (e.g., Jitterbit, MuleSoft)
• Professional Project Management/Scrum Certification (Scrum Alliance, SaFE, PMI) Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position may require travel throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and surrounding suburbs.
