Phoenix-Talent School District #4 is seeking applications for the following Extra Duty position:

REPORTS TO: Athletic Director/Principal

TERMS: This position starts June 30, 2023, for the 2023-24 school year.

SALARY: As determined by the negotiated salary schedule, currently $4,376 to $5,148, depending on experience.


Phoenix High School is seeking a positive, energetic coach to guide our cheerleading program. Supervision of cheerleading program including: athletes, care and inventory of supplies and uniforms. Use of budget and fundraising for program. Teaching fundamentals and skills of cheerleading, organize practices.

  • Experience coaching cheerleading at competitive level.
  • Knowledge of OSAA and NFHS rules.
  • ASEP/NFHS and other required certifications or ability to become certified.
  • Valid First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Ability to work well with athletes and colleagues.
  • Meet required driver's training for activity van usage.
  • Must have a flexible work schedule to accommodate practices and games.
  • Ability to supervise squad selection and practices.

  • May be given to those candidates who hold a valid Oregon teaching license.
  • May be given to those candidates who are bilingual in Spanish and English.
