Job Title/Position: TECHNOLOGY AND CURRICULUM SUPPORT SPECIALIST 1.0 anticipated

DESCRIPTION:
The Technology Support Specialist has a shared responsibility for the daily operations and maintenance of technical assets as well as curriculum support related to technology at Hampshire Regional High School.

SUPERVISION:
Works under the supervision of the School Principal and Director of Technology.

Evaluated by the Principal or designee.

JOB ENVIRONMENT:
Typical school-site environment (classroom, hallway, cafeteria, etc). In person support is required (ie. Not a remote position).

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Support faculty, staff, and students with hardware, software and app-related questions and problems.
•Develop and deliver workshops, handouts and other resources related to the use of technology for staff during professional development as a group and individually for supporting instruction.
•Install, configure, and support Mac operating system and application software.
•Assist in setting up, maintaining and troubleshooting user accounts on various systems, particularly in Google suite.
•Execute routine maintenance for computers, projectors, printers and other technology.
•Install and calibrate interactive projectors/boards and assessment clickers.
•Assist in the monitoring, diagnoses, and resolution of network issues.
•Assist in the installation of network equipment (WAPs, cables, port jacks, switches, hubs, etc.)
•Provide support for educational applications for students and staff (MS Office, Google Apps for Education, ActivInspire, etc.)
•Perform back ups of various systems.
•Maintain detailed inventory records of technology assets.
•Perform similar or related work as required, directed or as situations dictate.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
•Strong knowledge and experience of Macintosh Operating System required.
•Strong knowledge and experience with managing Google Suite required.
•Bachelor's Degree recommended, but not required if applicant has 5+ years of tech-related experience.
•Previous work experience in educational setting preferred.
•Experience in Deploying/managing/maintaining Applications for staff and student devices using enterprise deployment and management tools and best practices preferred.
•Strong knowledge of LAN networks, wireless switches and routers preferred.
•1-3 years experience of supporting end users preferred.
•Ability to repair and maintain Macintosh computers preferred.
•Ability to analyze and solve multiple problems independently required.
•Ability to train others and to provide user support for all levels of technology users required.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
•Good general health.
•Alert, physically assertive and mobile at all times.
•Lift, push, or pull 50 pounds as required;
• Mobility to regularly walk, stand, stoop, reach, bend and occasionally run.
