OPPORTUNITY:
The Expanded Learning and Athletic Programs Associate will assist in developing and supporting Green Dot's middle school Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELO-P) grant funded activities. This is a grant funded position which will be funded through June 30, 2024.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee planning and implementation of ELO-P grant-funded programs for the 2023 and 2024 school year.

Serve as liaison to 6 crickets partners and 6 crickets program tool. In relation to the program tool, the Associate will ensure 6crickets dashboards are updated and reporting is pulled and analyzed on a regular basis.

Coordinate transportation to and from any and all ELO-P activities.

Track ELO-P program attendance and reporting.

Attend any and all ELO-P professional development opportunities along with any California Department of Education and Los Angeles County Office of Education meetings/webinars.

Manage all Middle School Intramural League logistics including but not limited to establishing league rules and guidelines, promoting and marketing the league, coordinating game schedules, ordering and inventory, coordinating transportation, securing game venues, and officiating.

Oversee the Child and Adult Food Care Program for ELO-P programs. Duties Include (but are not limited to): tracking and monthly reporting, Compliance reviews and program observations, partner staff training, and managing any audits.

Will create a vertical athletics program plan. Outlining what 6th-8th grade athletic pathways look like including scholarships and careers in sports.

Track inventory purchased with ELO-P grant funds.

Assist in the planning of org-wide afterschool activities and special projects.

Manage data and information systems tracking participant attendance and academic growth.

In collaboration with the Coordinator of Expanded Learning Programs, complete all state and federal reporting for ELO-P grants.

Work collaboratively with Green Dot Home Office staff, school leaders, teacher leaders, and other Ed Team members to support the integration of ELO-P funded programs at all schools.

Contribute to a monthly newsletter highlighting Green Dot afterschool programs.

Support Green Dot Expanded Learning Programs in any capacity as needed.

Other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience working with organized sports leagues or programs

Proven ability to coordinate large events with complex logistics/planning

Experience with project management and/or budget management

A passion for improving urban schools and driving education reform

At least two years of experience working with ASES and/or ASSETs programs

Leadership roles in the context of supporting diverse student populations preferred

Knowledgeable about the current state of expanded learning programs in California

Must be open to coaching and able to implement professional feedback with urgency

Strong oral and written communication skills

Associate's degree or 60 units required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Coursework in education/minor in education preferred.

Ability to travel to other sites and locations (gas/mileage reimbursement available)

COMPENSATION:
Hourly position: $25-30 an hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits plan as well as the opportunity to impact a growing, mission-driven organization that is committed to the success of all its students.

In addition, the position qualifies for a one-time $2,500 signing bonus, paid in two installments after months 6 and 12 of employment (subject to change).

This position is based on state and federal grant funds and the position may preemptively close if grant funding ends for any reason.
