OPPORTUNITY:
Green Dot recognizes that high-quality instruction is central to the academic success of students. We are seeking talented middle school substitute teachers for our students. Our ideal candidate is hard-working, entrepreneurial, and possesses a strong desire to foster high levels of academic achievement with academically underserved students. We are looking for substitute teachers who are passionate about our students and excited to become a part of our school communities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to the lesson plan designed by the content area teacher.
Implement student intervention plans designed for students with special education services or 504 plans.
Adhere to the school's student and staff management policies and procedures (i.e., attendance records, dress code, etc.) and report to the school administrators when necessary.
Maintain effective supervision and discipline in the classroom.
Work with other teachers and administrators to address and resolve student issues.
Abide by all state and federal mandates in reporting sexual or physical abuse and neglect.
Provide necessary accommodations and modifications for growth and success of all students.
Participate in faculty and professional meetings and teacher training workshops, when appropriate.
Support our school operations with attendance tracking, enrollment, front desk support, lunch duty, hall monitoring, and other duties.
Execute all other duties as assigned by campus administration.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree or 60 hours of college level credits
You are available to work Monday-Friday from 7:45am-4:45pm.
You are bilingual in Spanish (preferred)
You have strong content knowledge, pedagogical understanding, and the capacity to plan and deliver instruction to meet the needs of students.
You display a relentless commitment to and high standards for high quality execution.
You are passionate and demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility towards ambitious goals.
You have excellent collaborative and organizational skills.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
You have a strong ethical base and self-awareness.

You will need to pass a background check at time of offer.

COMPENSATION:
The hourly rate for this position is $17.00/per hour.
