As we embark on this exciting journey, we are actively seeking an ambitious Senior Financial Consultant to spearhead and bolster financial and operational services for our charter school clients in Washington State.

Key Responsibilities

Nonprofit Financial Management

  • Strategic Analysis: Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modeling to provide actionable insights for informed decision-making.

  • Real-time Dashboards: Implement financial dashboards, empowering leadership with real-time data for effective decision-making.

  • Monthly Reporting: Produce detailed monthly financial reports and packets, serving as a trusted advisor to client board members and executive leaders. 

  • Financial Oversight: Scrutinize cash reconciliations and monthly ledgers, shedding light on spending and revenue trends to drive financial efficiency.

  • Internal Controls: Support the team in establishing and maintaining robust internal controls over finance and accounting functions.

  • Audit Coordination: Act as a key liaison in facilitating year-end audits and Form 990 filings with the IRS.


Charter School Support

  • Client Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for client queries related to financial, HR, and compliance issues.

  • State Reporting Expertise: Develop a nuanced understanding of state retirement reporting, ensuring timely and accurate reports for clients.

  • Process Optimization: Collaborate on refining processes within JGP to enhance efficiency, particularly in the State Employee Benefits Board system.

  • Grant Management: Support and lead client budgeting and reporting for state and federal grants, ensuring fiscal compliance

Client Service & Relationships

  • Trusted Partnerships: Develop strong, confidential relationships with clients and partners, providing guidance and technical expertise when needed.

  • Effective Communication: Communicate with clients to manage expectations, scope, and project efforts, ensuring satisfaction in results and confidence in JGP services.

  • Proactive Problem-Solving: Proactively address challenges by maintaining open communication with teammates, fostering a culture of transparency.


Team Responsibilities

  • Financial Expertise Source: Become a go-to source of financial expertise and experience for Washington State charter schools.

  • Team Collaboration: Demonstrate excellent teamwork in a dynamic environment, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.

  • Mentorship: Assist in the development of current and future team members, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team culture.

  • Project Management: Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, meeting strict deadlines both independently and within a team environment.


  • 3 – 4+ years (Senior Analyst) of experience in financial analysis and reporting OR in the accounting field

  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel

  • Ability to learn and utilize multiple database reporting software platforms, including QuickBooks and state designated systems 

  • Possess a degree in business, accounting, or finance; relevant field experience is considered a strength 

  • Express a genuine desire to work in a social impact organization, dedicated to serving others 

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary for this role is based on prior applicable experience, with a range of $70,000 - $85,000.

  • Bonus opportunities contingent on a mix of individual performance and firm growth.
