SUMMARY: Miller City-New Cleveland Local School is seeking an additional qualified High School Agribusiness Instructor for the 2024-2025 school year in order to enhance our successful Agricultural Education program. The high school Agricultural Education program at Miller City High School currently includes the following courses: Ag. Food & Natural Resources, Mechanical Principles, Livestock Selection, Ag Business Management, Ag & Industrial Power and two embedded college-credit welding courses. Adding an instructor to the program will allow the program to offer additional coursework such as Greenhouse & Nursery Management. Additionally, our Ag students are a part of the Miller City FFA Chapter where they have the opportunity to participate in the following enrichment activities: Supervised Agricultural Experience Program Career Development Events FFA State and National Conventions Leadership Events Chapter Program of Activities DISTRICT INFORMATION: Miller City-New Cleveland Local School is a rural school in Putnam County, Ohio with a Grades K-12 enrollment of approximately 525 students. The district has consistently ranked in the top 5% of Ohio public schools in terms of the performance index measure attached to state standardized testing including 11th overall in the State of Ohio in 2022-23. The Miller City and New Cleveland communities value education and take pride in the programs of the school system.
