Job Description

The BUUSD Special Services Case Manager provides oversight and timely management of all procedural paperwork for a designated caseload of students, monitors individual education plans for the purpose of guiding student teams in ensuring that students make progress toward functional and educational goals in the general education curriculum. Primary responsibilities include the following: Schedule, coordinate and facilitate all procedural meetings on or before required due dates. Communicate and/or consult with students, parents, colleagues, administrators, and outside agencies in a professional and respectful manner. Coordinate related services and treatment teams as specified by the IEP. Ensure that procedural paperwork is completed in timely manner. Complete Medicaid documentation for Medicaid eligible students. Possess accurate and current knowledge of Vermont Statutes, State and Local policies, and procedures for students with disabilities and be in compliance with State and Federal regulations. Occasional remote paperwork/office hours allowed with approval by direct supervisor.
