Job Description

Reports Directly to the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director Supervise all certified and non-certified personnel within the specified Alternative Learning Program Assist the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director in the supervision of other programs as deemed necessary Effectively evaluate certified faculty using the RIDE Evaluation Model Effectively evaluate non-certified staff using the West Bay Collaborative format Recommend personnel appointments and assignments to the Special Education Director and/or Executive Director Establish and maintain a positive school climate Work with the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director to review student referrals to program Meet regularly with Administration, staff, and sending districts regarding status of referrals and students transitioning to and from program Monitors adherence of teachers to approved curriculum and standards including effective lesson planning and content area progress Monitor student progress by frequently analyzing assessment data Identify program needs and generate annual program budget recommendations to be given to the Executive Director Responsible for management and inventory of equipment and supplies Comply with all state and federal program regulations (IDEA) Provide and facilitate professional development for faculty and staff as approved by the West Bay Collaborative Special Education Director Participate in professional development and keep abreast of current instruction and assessment practices as approved by the Executive Director and/or Special Education Director Work closely with the Special Education Director and Chief Behavior Specialist to implement, lead, and monitor a school-wide positive behavior program Communicate effectively with all stakeholders Attend school and community functions Attend all Administrative and Committee meetings as directed by the Executive Director and/or Special Education Director Coordinate and supervise safety procedures and practices Complete, on time, all reports required by the Executive Director, Special Education Director, and other local or state agencies Manage and lead daily school operations Performs other duties as requested by the Executive Director and/or Special Education Director
