Job Description: Literacy InterventionistReporting to: School PrincipalLocation: Stella Elementary Charter Academy Status: Full Time, Exempt; TEMPORARY for a two year periodSummary: The Instructional Interventionist works closely with teachers and administrators to plan and execute a comprehensive plan to increase student achievement. TheInstructional Interventionist will manage academic programs that support student populations in general education, special education, and those that need additional interventions. They will also streamline schoolwide intervention programs, instructional strategies and analyze data; manages instructional student activities during and after school, in addition to Saturdays and vacation for students that need additional support (in person or through video conferencing); leads professional development with faculty and parents; works in conjunction with Department and Grade Level Leads, and Inclusive Education department.

Qualifications:- Valid CA Clear Multiple Subject Credential
- Minimum 3 years teaching experience in the classroom
- Experience serving students of color and students that qualify for free and reduced lunch (preferred)
- Successful data-backed experience teaching grades Kindergarten through Fourth Grade; experience with various grade levels
- Successful experience teaching groups of students for intervention (desired)
- Management/ Leadership experience (desired)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Spanish Fluency (preferred)
- Experience in differentiated and intervention supports
- History of producing dramatic, measurable student achievement gains

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):- Collaborate with general education teacher, school instructional team to analyze key student data
- Support with small group testing administration
- Plan and facilitate small group instruction based on data analysis
- Conducts pull out and/or push-in sessions for students during the school day to reinforce and practice remedial skills
- Communicates with teacher and parents about student needs and progress
- Attends and actively participates in multi-tiered support system meetings with other teachers
- Collaborate with teachers to refine procedures within the classroom
- Collaborate with administrators and teachers to improve school-wide learning goals
- Any other duties as assigned
