Job Description Position Summary: The RBT will provide direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to support a student's academic, communication, social, and daily living skills and to reduce problematic behaviors in the school setting. The Behavior Technician utilizes interventions developed out of the science of Applied Behavior Analysis.
Reports to: Principal
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:15 am-3:30 pm.
Terms of Employment: Non-union, classified position.
Salary Range: $23.00-$26.00 per hour commensurate with certification and experience.

Duties and Responsibilities Duties of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes and maintains a positive relationship with the student and faculty.
- Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
- Fades prompts appropriately to promote both successful and independent responding.
- Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to various supports and reinforcements (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations).
- Accurately collects behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, inter-response time, event, and interval-based recording.
- Follows behavioral and educational plans/interventions (e.g. BIP, DTI, IEP) utilizing sound judgment and seeking appropriate consultation as needed.
- Collaborates with BCBA and educational team members to provide interventions and support effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
Qualifications - Must hold and maintain current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician as issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or enrolled in a certification program.

- Demonstrated experience in meeting the needs of all learners.
- Aptitude, emotional maturity, and stability necessary for working with various types of children and professional staff.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Must possess good judgment in the supervision of, management of, and communication with students.
- Must be certified in Physical Management Training (PMT), First Aid, and CPR or be willing to be trained and certified.
