Job Description Position: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for Mobile Behavior Support Team
Location: PreK & across four WPS elementary schools
Qualification: - RBT certification
- Experience supporting children with social-emotional and/or behavior challenges
- Experience with data collection and reporting on student progress
- Effective interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Summary: Wakefield Public Schools created a Mobile Behavior Support Team (MBST) designed to expand building-level capacity to provide a continuum of behavioral support for all learners and more effectively educate students with significantly challenging behaviors. To start, the personnel of the BST will include 1 BCBA and 1 Registered Behavior Technician. As this team grows, we hope to eventually add 1 Adjustment Counselor and an additional RBT to the team.
This team works collaboratively to develop and assist preK and elementary school staff to implement inclusive, targeted behavioral interventions, and integrate social emotional instruction with the overarching goal of preventing students from needing support beyond general education in more restrictive settings or needing more intense interventions.
Responsibilities: - Work under the direction of the Mobile Behavior Support Team BCBA
- Follow treatment plan goals and adhere to teaching strategies as outlined by the team's BCBA
- Model teaching strategies to school personnel as needed
- Assist in delivering direct behavior-analytic services, implementing behavior plans, and collecting data
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team, communicate effectively, and demonstrate integrity of confidential information
- Travel to school sites to work with students referred to the Mobile Behavior Support Mobile Team
- Perform other related duties as required
Salary: competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience
Terms: 190 day contact, 7.5 hrs per day
