Reports to: Head of School

Hours: 8-12 hours/week

Position Overview:

The primary purpose of the school psychologist is to complete all evaluations required by IDEA and be an active member of the evaluation team.

Responsibilities/duties include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct evaluations including cognitive, memory, adaptive, behavioral/social-emotional, among others.
• Serve as a member of the evaluation teams.
• Review and share results of outside clinical psychological and neurological assessments.
• Provide recommendations for IEP accommodations and modifications.
• Provide consultation with teachers, administrators, and parent/caregivers.
• Liaise between outside agencies related to student services, as needed.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island School Psychologist certificate and license required
• Master's degree from an accredited university
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, preferred
• Experience is preferred but not necessary for hiring
