REPORTS TO:
OSS Deputy Chief of Instructional Services or their designee
STIPEND POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Office of Specialized Services (OSS) seeks existing BPS/BASAS staff to provide Regional Assistant Director support to a portfolio of schools. The Regional Assistant Director:
Provides leadership for Special Education settings. Partners with other OSE leaders to ensure seamless special education service delivery within Special Education settings. Partners with families in planning and problem solving to support the students' successes. Actively participates in BPS meetings that support compliant special education services delivery. Collaborates with the Regional AD team and performs other special projects as assigned.
TERMS:
The stipend will be paid at the hourly rate of $67.54 and once the responsibilities are completed. OSS expects a minimum of 2 hours and a maximum of 10 hours weekly. OSS is only compensating the position for duties and administrative tasks performed outside of the regular work day. It is expected that the position tracks all time and tasks performed outside of the regular work day. The provider is responsible for completing all documentation as expected.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Currently working in Boston Public Schools Required: Appropriate licensure Required: Member of BASAS bargaining unit Required: Masters Degree in related field Preferred: Fluency in a language other than english.
