Job Description The Upper Darby School District is seeking applicants for a Long Term Substitute School Social Worker position at Beverly Hills Middle School from November 2024 through March 31, 2025.
Qualifications: PA Educational Specialist Certificate: School Social Worker PK-12 or PA Home and School Visitor or PA licensed LSW/LCSW Out-of-state educators and anyone seeking an emergency certificate should review the guidelines set by the PA Department of Education. Job Goal:The primary goal of the School Social Worker is to provide comprehensive social work services to students, families, and staff within the school community. This includes but is not limited to promoting academic success, facilitating positive social and emotional development, and ensuring the overall well-being of students. The School Social Worker will collaborate with school personnel, community agencies, and families to address barriers to learning and promote a safe and supportive school environment. Additionally, the School Social Worker will advocate for the needs of students and families, provide crisis intervention and support services, and participate in multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies for student success. Through direct intervention, consultation, and collaboration, the School Social Worker will strive to enhance the social, emotional, and academic outcomes of all students.
