      • Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
        Location: Lawrence, MA
        Reports to: Director of Special Education / School Principal
        Employment Type: Full-time
        Job Overview
        The School is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to provide high-quality services to students in grades K-8. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders, working closely with students, families, and staff to promote academic and social success.
        Key Responsibilities Assessment and Diagnosis
        • Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication evaluations using standardized and informal assessment tools.
        • Identify students with communication disorders and determine the impact on their educational performance.
        • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to contribute to IEP development and goal-setting.
      • Intervention and Therapy
        • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals.
        • Provide direct and indirect services in individual, small group, or classroom settings.
        • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support language development and communication skills in the classroom environment.
      • IEP Development and Compliance
        • Write and maintain Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and progress reports in compliance with state and federal regulations.
        • Document therapy sessions, maintain accurate records, and regularly communicate progress to families and staff.
        • Ensure compliance with IDEA and other special education regulations.
      • Collaboration and Consultation
        • Work closely with teachers, specialists, and paraprofessionals to integrate communication strategies into daily instruction.
        • Provide consultation and training to staff and families on communication strategies and accommodations.
        • Act as a resource for teachers to enhance classroom communication and language practices.
      • Professional Development
        • Stay updated on best practices and emerging research in the field of speech-language pathology.
        • Participate in school-based professional development sessions and share knowledge with colleagues.
      • Qualifications
        Education and Licensure
        • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
        • Valid Massachusetts SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
        • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred.
