The Claremont School District is approximately 35 minutes from Mount Sunapee Ski Resort and 30 minutes from all of the concerts and athletic events at Dartmouth College in Hanover. The Connecticut River flows nearby making kayaking and canoeing very convenient after work and on the weekends. Hiking trails are plentiful. Title: Elementary School Guidance Counselor
Terms of Employment: Full-Time, School Year
Employment class: Exempt
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and NH Certification as a School Counselor
Job Goals: The role of the elementary school counselor is to provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for all children in elementary school, to consult with teachers, parents and staff to enhance their effectiveness in helping students, to provide support to other elementary education programs, and to coordinate other services as needed by children and their families.
Reports to: Building Principal
