Job Description
To assist in the attainment of District goals through effective and efficient warehousing (receipt, storage, issue, accountability) and delivery services (loading/unloading and operation of assigned vehicles/equipment) supporting all functions of Facilities Services and other departments in the District. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Adhere to Facilities Services policies, procedures, and directives.
2. Work at a pace that will efficiently accomplish all assigned duties in a safe and orderly manner.
3. Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
4. Rotate into assigned duties to include order receiving and issuing, organizing, and inventorying
warehouse, driving and pickup or delivery of items, and upkeep of records relating to warehouse operations.
5. Check incoming deliveries for proper quantity, brand, and condition as per the PO specifications.
6. Load and unload all types of items and cargo from vehicles.
7. Complete necessary paperwork and processing of receipts, backorders, issuance, and delivery of goods.
8. Assist in receiving and storing materials, furniture, and/or equipment required for use in the
construction, maintenance, or remodeling of school district facilities.
9. Assist in maintaining perpetual inventory of stock and in perpetual inventory process.
10. Assist in updating the inventory system to avoid out-of-stock situations especially for critical supplies;
provides updates to ensure ordering once supplies reach a pre-determined re-order level
11. Participate and be knowledgeable in ongoing cycle counts and periodic inventory.
12. Drive assigned vehicles (i.e. trucks, pick-ups, or vans) when necessary for pick-up and/or delivery
of supplies to accomplish work necessary according to instruction.
13. Operate assigned equipment to include forklifts, hand equipment and (manual/electric) pallet jack.
14. Perform operator maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
15. Report vehicle/equipment malfunctions to supervisor quickly and appropriately.
16. Participate in district and campus staff development programs that improve job related skills.
17. Perform general housekeeping and organization.
18. Assist and direct work, as necessary.
19. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilitiesexpected for this position.
Minimum Requirements
• High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or regional accrediting agency).
• 1+ year experience in warehousing.
• 1+ year experience operating a forklift or other warehouse material handling equipment.
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Knowledgeable in warehousing storage and maintenance of items stocked.
• Knowledge of CMMS (computerized work order system).
• Solid capacity to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with diverse groups of individuals.
• Perform clerical work accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain files and record logs as necessary and are easily accessible.
• Knowledge of vehicle equipment and functions such as lift gates, pallet jack, lifts, dollies, forklift, and safety procedures.
• Securing, loading, and unloading all types of cargo and equipment.
• Ability to operate in a multi-task environment by maintaining a flexible and cooperative attitude toward
supervisors and peers.
• Knowledge and application of safe working principles always.

• Regular attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.

Working Conditions Work Environment:
• Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position.
• Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise. Occasional exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
• Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines; frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, balancing, pulling and pushing; reaching, repetitive hand motions, hearing, speaking clearly, visual acuity and prolonged data input; occasional lift/carry light, moderate 15-44 pounds.
