Pay Grade: E13 Minimum Salary: * $56,889 Mid-Point Salary: $71,563
*Salary is determined on directly related experience supported by a service record or experience affidavit. For more information on our pay policy, please refer to the Compensation Resource Manual. Annualized pay may be pro-rated based on actual start date.

Job Scope Uses significant independent judgment and familiarity of the field to perform work. May be responsible for administration of various moderate and high complexity departmental programs and may be the lead a group of employees. May develop policies and procedures and oversee the implementation and execution of them. Position Summary Manages all aspects of project controls of Construction & Development Services operations and district policy management to ensure consistency across all projects, maintaining control and traceability of the documentation from project initiation throughout completion. Tracks and coordinates all phases of the capital improvement projects such as bid packages, bid awards, procurement scheduling, deliveries, billing, supplies, and is liaison of communication between San Antonio ISD and business operations for architects, contractors, engineers, suppliers, vendors, etc.. Ensures that goals are met for timeliness, accuracy, and quality.
Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Provides document management and project controls support which includes the receipt, inventory, audit, tracking, storage, retrieval, and distribution of electronic and paper files.
2. Maintains contract documentation for architects, contractors, construction managers, engineering and management professionals involved in planning, design, and construction of projects.
3. Supports the document control / records management for Construction & Development Services.
4. Maintains an electronic filing system to handle incoming and outgoing drawings and other project-related
documents; responsible for prioritizing and maintaining an organized system.
5. Oversees the processing of Capital Project turnover documentation and warranty requests, during
warranty phase of construction.
6. Research and responds to internal and external accounts payable inquiries in a timely manner.
7. Ensures that all department practices and policies comply with district practices and policies.
8. Manages vendor payments and submittal to Financial Services processing.
9. Maintains financial information, files, and records, both manual and electronic for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines.
10. Produce field reports as necessary for the accomplishment of job requirements.
11. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities
expected for this position.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field from an accredited college or university or 4 years equivalent experience.
• 5+ years' experience in Project Controls with complex capital improvement projects.
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee

Working Conditions Work Environment:
• Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position.
• Frequent exposure to: temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise. Occasional exposure to: biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
• Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines and prolonged or irregular hours; Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; Occasional: Lifting and carrying 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with assistance; Pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically; May be required under specific circumstances to provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others; Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel.
