MCPS is seeking applicants for Elementary Summer Academy teaching positions. This posting is for external applicants only. Current MCPS employees do not need to apply. To be considered for a position, teachers must hold a current Virginia Teaching License. For student teachers to be considered for a position, you must provide a letter of program completion from your institution of higher education. Placement will be determined by student need.

Salary: $40.00 per hour

Closing Date: Open until filled.

Locations: Elementary Summer Academies will be held at each MCPS Elementary School. Except: AES will be held at AMS or AHS; KES will be held at BMS.

Dates and Times

June 2 - June 26 (Monday - Thursday)

(Close Fridays; June 19 - holiday)

Student Hours: 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM

Teacher Hours: 7:45 AM - 12:45 PM

*Teachers will get a "workday" to set up their rooms and plan for summer academy.
