Job Scope Leads daily activities of a department or function. Uses significant independent judgment and familiarity of the field to perform work. Responsible for administration of various complex departmental programs and serves as the lead a group of employees. Develops policies and procedures and oversee implementation and execution of them. Typically required to complete tasks of junior-level roles, when needed. Position Summary The Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and assessment of activities involved in delivering one or more effective programs for district initiatives. Activities cross a wide array of elements to include the planning, design, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of new or existing district initiatives/programs. Provides direct and ongoing leadership to District and school personnel through participation in consultation, collaboration, professional learning activities, staff evaluation/assessment process, and curriculum planning and development of district strategies and programs. Manages the delivery of related services by vendors. Directs and maintains data collection for assessment of program effectiveness. Establishes and maintains partnerships with external organizations, governmental agencies, and other stakeholders; and serves as a liaison to both internal and external parties on a variety of issues. Essential Functions / Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitates the coordination, monitoring, and evaluation of the activities and/or programs in the assigned area of specialization. Leads the implementation of new and existing programs and initiatives designed to address the needs of the district and/or students; ensures adherence to mandated guidelines governing the activities or program(s).
2. Serves as a liaison; establishes and maintains partnerships with various external organizations, and governmental agencies; interact and collaborate with other departments within the district.
3. Collects and analyzes data to identify trends and provide recommendations. Develop reports to effectively communicate findings to district leadership, influencing future program decisions.
4. Develops and facilitates training; provides resources and materials to effectively support the program.
5. Participates in the development of grant requests and proposals, as appropriate.

6. Develops and initiates changes for new and modified policies, regulations, and curriculum. Collaborates
with key stakeholders to implement changes.
7. Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill and experience capabilities
expected for this position. Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or 4 years of equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in program coordination or related experience.
• Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's Degree from accredited college or university.
• 8+ years of progressive experience program coordination or related experience. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Ability to establish effective working relationships with staff, parents, students, government agencies, and the community.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills including use of collaborative platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively plan, prioritize, organize, and schedule work to meet established deadlines and goals.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal policies and procedures.
• Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge and skills using productivity tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Excel & Google).
Working Conditions Work Environment:
• Computer, computer software programs and peripherals, teacher resource materials and equipment, copier, fax, and other equipment applicable to position.
• Frequent exposure to temperature extremes (hot and cold), humidity extremes, noise. Occasional exposure to biological hazards (communicable diseases, bacteria, insects, mold, fungi, etc.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
• Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines and prolonged or irregular hours; Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing; Occasional: Lifting and carrying 10-25 pounds frequently, 25-40 pounds occasionally, more than 45 pounds infrequently with assistance; Pushing/pulling 10-35 pounds sporadically; May be required under specific circumstances to provide physical restraint of students in danger of causing harm to themselves or others; Frequent districtwide and occasional statewide travel.
