Family/Community/Recruitment Manager

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in social services or related field. Strong verbal, organizational, and writing skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations (families and community partners). Preferred experience working with children and/or families in connecting them to community resources. Must have a current driver's license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel between locations for events.
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for planning and coordinating family engagement activities. This includes but is not limited to male engagement events, Parent Committee meetings, Policy Council. Support a partnership among families, community and schools that result in meaningful educational experiences for families. Collaboratively plan, facilitate, attend, and track recruitment events and activities with Family Service and Recruitment Coordinator. Responsible for creating and maintaining collaborative partnerships to provide services to children and families. Design and coordinate activities that engage the community and parents in meaningful educational experiences for children.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Adhere to the Mission and Vision of HCESC.
Facilitate the program's mission, goals and services to families, staff, and community.
Demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of social work, community agencies/resources and school districts.
Initiate meetings, utilize surveys and other forms of data to gain insight for continuous improvement and planning.
Establish and maintain community partnerships to provide services to children and families.
Ability to provide direct care to people with diverse educational, socioeconomic and ethnic backgrounds.
Demonstrate good customer service with all stakeholders including families, community partners & school districts.
Plan, organize and budget for family activities in accordance with the program goals.
Ability to recruit and enroll children.
Collaborate with supervisor, Family Service and Recruitment Coordinator, and HCESC personnel regarding marketing and recruitment strategies.
Utilize social media for Head Start events.
Work as a team member with other program personnel to ensure all service area requirements are completed.
Assist the program and staff in creating an environment that encourages family and community engagement.
Assist with Community Assessment and other data collection projects.
Ability to create and implement effective data systems to manage resources and referrals to determine impact.
Able to work non-traditional hours when necessary to accommodate position.
Enter data and monitor outcomes of family engagement-related activities and submit related documentation such as in-kind, and surveys.
Ability to make public presentations and appearances.
Coordinate and implement an effective volunteer system.
Participate in staff meetings and training experiences as deemed necessary by the supervisor.
Responsible for internal and external communication regarding current resources/services (i.e. team meetings, monthly publications and parent website).
Assist staff with supporting families in crisis.
Ability to help create, revise and implement policies and procedures.
Organize and facilitate Policy Council meetings, recruit community representatives to attend meetings, build and maintain relationships with Policy Council members, ensures provision of documentation to designee for submission to Governing Board.
Coordinate Parent Committee Meetings. Work with Curriculum to help develop materials and content to be shared with families by teaching staff.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Valid driver's license and vehicle operated legally according to Ohio law.

Ability to meet federal, state and local mandates, regulations and timelines.
