This position is within the Curriculum & Instruction Department located at the Glenn Loomis Administration Building. There is an immediate start date.

Bargaining Unit/Classification: TCCAPSA / VIIStatus: Hourly, Non-Exempt, Full-Year

Report to: Chief Academic Officer-Secondary

This position is a part-time (0.50 FTE), 4 hours/day position

General Summary:

The Administrative Assistant to the Curriculum & Instruction Department coordinates the office activities and works under the supervision of the Chief Academic Officer - Secondary.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs administrative tasks and duties related to the Curriculum & Instruction department.
Supports the enrollment and monthly counting for virtual students in the district.
Assists with district communications, including the monitoring and organizing of district social media posts and messaging.
Works with the Curriculum Department to ensure curriculum materials are properly inventoried and delivered to sites.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Advanced knowledge of computers and technology.
Excellent organizational skills with emphasis on details and time management.
Excellent customer service skills.
Analytical ability to gather and interpret data.
Demonstrates proficiency in spelling, grammar, and information technologies.
Dependable, reliable, and protective of sensitive/confidential information.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be able to report on a regular and consistent basis.
Maintain consistent and punctual attendance.
Duties include frequent walking and physical activity, as well as the use of hands and arms for signaling and light lifting/carrying.
Must have the ability to move about the classroom/building and school property, including bending, pushing/pulling, lifting, twisting, climbing, stooping, or crouching to complete work-related tasks.
Ability to effectively discern information and formulate appropriate action(s).
Ability to think critically and provide appropriate solutions.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently.

Environmental Conditions:

Incumbents work in indoor environments with moderate to loud noise levels. Duties may be completed in cold and hot temperatures, including work on slippery and/or uneven surfaces. The work environment includes working around students, school equipment, and office equipment.

Work Schedules:

Must be available to report throughout the calendar year consistently.

The individual selected for this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
