PRELIMINARY SCREEENING INTERVIEWS

CONTENT AREAS : Preliminary Screening interviews will be conducted for the following content areas:

Fine & Performing Arts Naval Science Instructor

Early Childhood School Librarian

Elementary Education World Language

English Language Learners (ESOL) Career & Technical Business Education

Physical Education Health

REQUIREMENTS :
  • Applicants must hold or be eligible to hold a valid Maryland Teaching Certificate in the content area(s) to which you applied by July 1, 2021 to be eligible for screening interviews.
  • Applicants with teaching certificates from other states will be eligible to participate.
  • Teaching certificate MUST BE UPLOADED into the application to be eligible.

E SSENTIAL INFORMATION : Preliminary Screening interviews are conducted for the purpose of creating a candidate pool for vacancies that may become available for the 2021-2022 school year.
  • All applications will be reviewed by the Human Resources Department to determine eligibility.
  • Applicants will be notified via email if you are ineligible to participate.
  • All eligible applicants will be notified via email with an assigned interview time for Friday, April 16, 2021.
  • No email notifications will be delivered prior to the closing date of April 2, 2021 .

References must be directly related to educational experience and must include immediate supervisor.

State law requires that anyone hired after October 1, 1986, who will have contact with school children, must be fingerprinted and submit to a criminal background investigation. Federal law requires that a new employee must complete the Employment Eligibility Verification (Form I-9) in person before beginning employment. Employment is conditional upon successful completion of a drug screen. Current employees of the Calvert County Public Schools are exempt from these requirements.

House Bill 486 - Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct Prevention Statement

Pursuant to Section 6-113.2 of the Education Article, Annotated Code of Maryland - House Bill 486 - Child Sexual Abuse and Sexual Misconduct Prevention all applicants are required to report all former employers in which you may have had direct contact with minors. The applicant must submit the contact information of the current employer, all former school employers, and all former employers not school related. Applicants should also include contact information for organizations in which you have volunteered, coached, mentor, tutored or otherwise had direct contact with minors.
