Alma del Mar is a K-8 charter school whose mission is to put every one of our scholars on the path to college and to challenge them to be service-minded leaders. We do this by immersing our scholars in a highly demanding, highly supportive environment where they receive a content-rich education. We currently serve over 400 scholars in grades K-8.

Alma gets results for kids. After fewer than three years at Alma, our scholars outperform their district peers in reading ability and surpass their suburban peers in mathematics achievement. In addition, we're known for being a highly inclusive school. Over 30% of scholars at Alma receive some additional academic or behavioral support and we have been nationally recognized for our effectiveness in serving this population.

The Speech Language Pathologist Role
-Provide individual and small group speech/language services
-Screen and evaluate students for the presence of speech/language disorders
-Generate, maintain, track, and update all required student records, to include but not limited to: speech/language evaluation reports, IEP goals and objectives, IEP progress notes, etc
-Collaborate with parents and teachers, engaging them as partners in the student's therapeutic intervention

Who We're Looking For
We seek outstanding candidates with the following qualifications:

-Speech and Language Therapist License from the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Required)
-Speech and Language Pathology License from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Board of Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (in good standing)
-Certification of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association preferred (CFY will be considered)
-A commitment to ensuring academic success for all students
-Excellent skills in the areas of teamwork, oral and written communication, and organization
-Strong team orientation
-Infectious joy
-Bilingual a plus!
