Job Description Lyndon Institute is seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and repairing equipment and facilities to ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently.
This position is full time, working 40 hours per week, and will be eligible for all benefits including vacation time, PTO, holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, and 401k with company match.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and grounds.
- Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry issues.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests, work orders, and emergency calls.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records in good working order.
- Assist with installation, assembly, or modifications of equipment and systems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with the supervisor and other staff as needed.
- Support facility improvement projects and contribute to maintaining a clean, safe, and functional work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in building, equipment, carpentry, or facilities maintenance is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systems is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and perform manual labor as required.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
Job Requirements This role may require working indoors and outdoors, occasionally in adverse weather conditions.
Must be available for occasional on-call duty, overtime, or weekend work as needed.
