Job Description Afterschool Special Education SupportPosition PurposeThe role of the Afterschool Special Education Support is to provide and assist staff with academics and behavior support with after school activities.
Essential Performance Responsibilities- Assist special education, classroom teachers, after school staff and/or coaches with activities for students with special education needs.
- Perform related duties as assigned by the supervising teacher, Principal, Special Education Coordinator and/or Director.
Additional Duties- Dependable, organized, possess good communication skills and emotional maturity and sensitivity to the needs of students.
- Able to manage student behavior, given training and support.
- Able to maintain confidentiality following the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).
- Organized, dependable and flexible.

Qualification ProfileEducationHigh School Diploma or GED required.
ExperienceExperience with students with disabilities and behavioral challenges preferred.
