TITLE: Maintenance I

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalentPossess or be able to obtain a Class B commercial driver's license to operate a school bus, forklift, and other heavy equipmentMust be able to read blueprintsBe physically able to handle 75 poundsMust have working knowledge of facility maintenance or experience in commercial electrical.Must be capable of working on refrigerators, air conditioners, freezers, water coolers, air handling units, dedicated outside air systems, etc.Must be able to follow instructions and offer corrections when needed
REPORT TO: Director of Operations and Safety

JOB GOALS: Be a self-motivator, self-sufficient, and maintain the district facilities and equipment in good operational order.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install or replace electrical wiring and devices in compliance with the commercial electrical code.Install, replace, and/or repair hot water boilers, hot water tanks, water coolers, adjust pressure switches, water flow switches, electric and gas valves, electric motors, sump pumps, exhaust fans, dishwashers, ovens, refrigerators, freezers, ice cream machinery, ice makers, and various types of HVAC equipment.Cleaning and maintaining drain lines with proper equipment.Carpentry jobs of different kinds.

Maintain buildings and equipment in a safe working orderComplete work orders that are assignedKeep a safe, clean, and orderly work areaPerform other job-related duties that are assigned

EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel and provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.

ADDITIONAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue.Excellent observation and communication skillsMay perform strenuous tasks, such as lifting, etc.Frequent evening and/or weekend work
