REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB TASKS:
Assess organization database needs, create and maintain databases to meet those needs. Test databases, correct errors, and make necessary modifications. Plan, coordinate and implement security measures to safeguard information in databases. Specify users and user access levels for each segment of database. Develop methods for integrating different products so they work properly together such as customizing commercial databases to fit specific needs. Train users and answer questions. Identify and evaluate industry trends in database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management. Develop, maintain & manage ESU 7's website. Other duties as assigned.
TECHNOLOGY EXPECTATIONS:
Computers and Electronics - Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, electronic equipment, and other computer hardware and software, including applications and basic programming / scripting. Database Systems - Knowledge of Claris FileMaker Pro Database systems and current trends. Able to post on ESU 7 Social Media resources

Equipment Selection / Job Planning - Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Customer and Personal Service - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Mathematics - Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry and their applications. Psychology - Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Inside offices and throughout the ESU 7 campus and district buildings. Primary work area is air-conditioned, but may travel to non air-conditioned buildings subject to extremes of temperature and humidity.
